The Internet of medical things refers to breakthrough technologies in healthcare that can significantly change the established format of medical care, implement in practice preventive measures with the active involvement of patients in solving their own health problems, a personalized approach to diagnosis and treatment. The development of technologies implies further expansion of the possibilities for personal monitoring of physiological functions, including indicators of biological fluids, miniaturization of devices. New solutions allow us to assess and influence the factors of human environment: sleep, physical and mental activity, diet, the state of the environment, including in the room where people are, natural factors and much more. The Internet of medical things requires scientific substantiation of application with an assessment of clinical efficacy and safety, for which it is necessary to conduct scientific and clinical studies. Accelerating the effective implementation of new technologies will require the training of health workers and patients to use them in practice. Legislation and registration issues needs special attention, thus a new set of regulations and approaches have to be developed.
