A number of legislation acts and regulations in the field of telemedicine were adopted in Russia last year. Thus, a telemedicine technologies became a legitimate part of a national health care system. There is an independent analysis of the legislation in the sphere of telemedicine. Both teams of authors (doctors and lawyers) are clearly identified and defined the areas of responsibility related to medical care via telemedicine. A set of actions for healthcare workers’ and patients’ rights protection were offered.
